He started the day by playing with some cool wrestling toys that I resurrected from a box in the garage... It was cool to see him having fun and banging the toys around... We played for a couple hours with them, which is unusually for Joey because he usually gets bored with a toy after about 10 minutes (with Tigger being the only exception)...

The best part of it all was watching him play by himself with them... He was being so creative, but knew just how to play with them... The end of the playing? When they all ganged up on him so that Hogan could get the 3 count...

After Daddy got home we had a quick dinner and then Grandpa, Grandma & Aunt Rachel came over for some cake and fun with Jojo... I had made a vanilla funfetti cake with chocolate peanut butter frosting and sprinkles earlier for Joey... It wasn't the best decorating job, but not bad for being exhausted and dealing with a sick baby... It didn't help that I left it on top of a hot toaster oven to set, so the frosting started melting! Ohh well, it tasted great and that is all that mattered..

He wasn't sure about the whole cake thing at first, but once he got a taste of it he loved it... It was a messy and adorable time...

He got some cool new toys, a chair, and some new clothes from all his family... A great first birthday... We wish all our family could have been here to enjoy it with us...
