Pump-It-Up Birthday Bash

Today was a party for a boy from Katie's class. They held the party at a place called Pump-it-up... It is a place with giant inflatable fun... I took Katie and ended up joining in on the fun and playing with her.. It was a work out and we both were exhausted, but we had a blast...


They had four main sections... the giant slide, which is the same as most carnivals...

We dubbed it the slide of doom..

Then there was an obstacle course.. which was a lot harder than you would think... it reminded me of double dare, but without the slime... The slide at the end was HUGE

They also had a little area with video games and an air hockey table.. Katie was pretty good at Air Hockey... Although she did loose eventually 3 to 5...


The last section that Katie played in was a boxing jumping ring.. they had over-sized gloves and everything... she spent most of her time getting pummeled and laughing like crazy..

I even joined in on the fun and went down the slide so Katie could video tape me.. LOL..

Overall it was a great day and we had a blast...

but Momma is ready for a nap....

Watch out for the slide of doom though... it's a killer...

A day of Joey... Videos

So I decided to give you a little video diary of a day in Joey.. I will not be able to capture the whole day.. but you will get the cute clips...

He wanted his Daddy today.. that is all I keep hearing all morning long... DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!


After hearing that for a while.. we played some Evil Monkey Blanket Peek-a-Boo... He loves it...


Then he was done with that and stole my pillow.. this happens constantly during the day.... he gets a kick out of it...


Then came lunch time for little man.... he had some leftover sheppards pie that I had made... left it cold and chopped into little cubes and he loves it.. (thanks for figuring this out last night Jer!)... He was throwing a fit when I put him the high-chair, so we decided to be daring and I set him up with a little bowl on the floor...


Luckily lunchtime also happened to be Phineas & Ferb time on Disney.. So he had a blast talking to them on the TV while he was enjoying lunch...


He stuck Mushu (the dragon from Mulan) into his playpen.. I don't know how he managed to do this.. but then he got mad that it wouldn't come out.. Here he is playing with Mushu.. (shhh.. don't tell Daddy.. it is his toy.. LOL)


I caught him trying to climb in the table.. what did he want? To "see it".. The it in question.. the Remote controls... ohh Joey...


On the way to get Katie.. but he was much more excited about eating his cars....


He decided that waiting outside Katie's class was a funny time...


Library books were due today.. so off to the Library.. Picked up some new ones too...


Playing with the velcro on sister's shoes.. Cheap entertainment...


Then Daddy got home and entertained the little man while he ate some dinner is his high-chair...


Some yummy Watermelon for dessert... yummy yummy...


Now off to sleep little Joey... Night Night...

Katie the Gardener

Katie got a flower pot kit for Easter and a plant from her teacher at school.. She has been working hard at making them grow and this past weekend they sprouted flowers...

She is so very impressed with the one she got from school, as it has bright bluish purple flowers...


I am very proud of my daughter and her green thumbs...

Beach Fun...

We went to the beach on Sunday.. it was a little breezy, but the sun was out and we were going to take advantage of it... Once we got there it didn't take long for Jerry and the kids to go running towards the water...


Of course I was on towel and shoe duty... Got some cute pictures of them playing in the waves though.. Joey wasn't as afraid of the waves this time and actually wanted to sit in the tide line..


On a beach full of shells, he found a rock to play with... The rock convinced him that eating the sand would be a good idea.. This is him afterward yelling at the sand for tasting yucky..

Daddy scooped him up and started playing with him in the waves... He was fine as long as you kept a tight hold on him... He was so small that the waves were trying to take him back out with them...

Katie of course had a blast in the water, sand and playing around like a goof ball..

Joey wanted to get in the act, so Daddy put his little legs in the deeper water.. the little wooger was kicking those feet! He wants to swim...

I spent most of the time in knee length water with the camera taking pictures.. but I did give it to Jer for a bit and play with the kids...
Of course during this time Jerry had to take one of his Self Portrait shots... See there was sun.. he is squinting!!


Eventually all the fun started to get to little man and the yawning began...

We bundled him up and he got very grumpy waiting for sister to quit playing...


We convinced her it was time to go.. but she wanted one more wave...



We had a blast and enjoyed the afternoon.... Can't wait until the summer starts officially and it gets warmer... I love living by the beach...
