Officially a Stay @ Home Momma Again...

So it is official... I am turning in my keys and will be signing my good-bye paperwork next week with Youngevity. I am a mix of emotions about this and I know I will miss my friends and the adult conversations. However, I get to watch my baby boy grow up and I will be there for all his firsts. I loved being home with Katie when she was young, and I am really looking forward to the fun of being an at home Momma and Wifey.

Katie started Second Grade last Monday and so
far she is enjoying it alot. She was very happy with her new teacher.

"She let's the whole class cover their desks with shaving cream and practice cursive on the last day of school Mom!" She exclaimed to me when I asked her why she liked her teacher so much. The sweet innocence of a seven year old. Can you remember a time when you were so excited about something so mundane as writing cursive? I am truly loving experiencing school through Katie's eyes and I am so grateful that she has a positive attitude towards learning and is enjoying her time at school.

She has almost an full hour of homework now after school, and this is not something that she is used to. With her coming straight home after school instead of going to day care, I am able to get her going and have it done in time for her to go play with the girls outside before dinner. She has at least 1 page of math problems, and spelling sheet, reading for 20 minutes and then Daddy has her write her spelling words 5 times a day. I have her reading an awesome chapter book called Dolphin's Song and she so far seems to be
really liking it and retaining what she read the day before. My little girl is growing up so fast.

She is loving being a big sister and is such a great helper. Yesterday she changed her first diaper (she wanted to help!). It was only a pee diaper, but it is a start! She helps gets her brother dressed in the morning by picking out his outfit and helping me get him loading into his car seat and ready to take her to school. She is taking on more responsibility around the house too, and showing us how grown up she really is. I am so proud of her.

Joey is growing like a weed and learns something new everyday. He has almost outgrown all his 0-3 month outfits (they are really getting snug on him). He is awake alot more during the day and is very active. He babbles and coo's with me and is starting to show his little personality. I am seeing more and more of my dad in him every day. He is sleeping through the night now, and I am very thankful for it. We put him to sleep at around 8pm and he usually doesn't wake up until 5~6 am. He is wide awake and hungry then though and he eats a full 8 ounce bottle. The little piggy!!

Grandma & Grandpa Cagg bought him a new playground jumpy while they were visiting and he loves it! There are so many toys and noisemakers on that thing. Everytime I put him in it, he discovers something new. It is a great assistance when I need to get some housework done and he is being fussy. I plop his little body in the seat and he goes to town.

I am excited and happy to get to spend every day with my children and my husband and feel so lucky to be this happy with my life.

To end this... The most awesome picture I have ever seen. Jerry and Joey looking into each others eyes.....
