Getting ready for October

Katie is going to be a junior bridesmaid in her Aunt Nicole's wedding in October... This weekend we went to size and try the dress... She looked so beautiful and grown up... She was beaming the whole time and we couldn't get her to stop looking in the mirrors.. The dress in the wedding will be "Latte" color, which is a tanish brown.


We also got Jer fitted for his tux.. He even got to try on the jacket.. Doesn't he look super in his fancy tux jacket, shorts, and sneakers??

The whole event was just too much for the little Joey however.. he passed out in the car...


But that didn't last long, as soon as we were home he was back to his crazy self trying to attack me...


We went for a walk down the street from our house and it was so pretty out I just have to share the pics..

Hooray for Katie & Pizza!!

Katie is officially done with second grade. My little baby girl is a third grader now. She brought home a stellar report card (all +'s & 90-100%.. what the heck happened to A&B's??) so we went out to Home Town Buffet to celebrate.

This is the first real experience with Joey at a restaurant where he was actually hungry... and boy did he eat.. He was grabbing stuff off of everyone's plates. His favorite by far though was the pizza...


He ate almost half of this piece by himself the little piggy boy...
We topped off his sippy cup with some refreshing Powerade and he went to town..
His favorite part by far was when they sang Happy Birthday to a table behind us.. He hasn't sat that still in weeks..

After all that it was time to hang out at home.. I took a pretty picture of myself...

And asked Jerry to let me take his picture.. this is what I get... And I wonder where Katie gets it from...

Ohh well... Hooray for Katie... We are proud of her...

She got all dressed up and pretty with some makeup today.. She is growing up too fast.. I miss my little baby girl...

Joey's hair

Little Joey's hair is getting so long.. I gave him a bath the other night and after I brushed his hair I put it in a little pony tail.. he looked so dang cute that I had to share..

Westview's Final Carnival...

Friday afternoon was a happy and sad occasion at Katie's school... Next year the school will be a pre-k & kinder only school so this was their last End of the year Carnival... All the teachers, PTA, and volunteers really went all out this year to make the last one the best one, and since all the money raised this year that was in excess went towards this carnival it was great one..

Of course they had Katie's favorite the giant inflatable slides...


And a giant inflatable obstacle course which allowed two kids to race to the slide to the end...

and of course the first on over the top....

Katie is victorious!
She got a pretty butterfly painted on her cheek at the face-paint booth.. Luckily we got there fast.. the line got long very quickly...

Next we went off to the balloon animal makers where Katie had them make her a Monkey.. It was a little white albino monkey that I got to carry the rest of the afternoon...

They had a bunch of little games that you could win little prizes and she had a blast trying each one.. we ended up with a whole bag of tiny prizes...

She also did the snack walk three times.. and won twice!! Ended up with a 12 pack of assorted cookies and an 8 pack of pudding!! Yummy yummy...

The coolest part allowed Katie to be a little bragger for a bit... They were giving out gift bags for everyone attending.. The bag included a bracelet, little toy and a visor... The Visors were donated by Katie's Grandpa!! The PTA was finally able to use them, and they came in handy on this sunny afternoon.. Any time Katie saw someone wearing one she would brag that her Grandpa gave those to the school..

It was a great way to say farewell and thank you to all the teachers and parents who made the year great.. We will miss our school next year, but hopefully I.B. Elem will be just as special...

Productive & Lazy all at the same time...

Started the day out with some housework.. ending it with a flick with the family...

Joey and Katie enjoyed cuddling this afternoon and watching some Phineas & Ferb..

Little Joey had his trial of eating pudding by himself.. I think he got more on him than in his mouth, but it is a learning process...

We decided to let Joey use some of his temporary tattoos.. He is now rocking Perry the Platypus on one arm.. and Phineas on the other... Momma's little rocker boy...


Joey decided today was a great day for adorableness... Here is letting you know what is in the latest issue of Zoonews...

And here he is enjoying a cookie and chatting with his Daddy... so cute...

Shaking and Quaking

Little Joey was doing his best Jerry impersonation yesterday with his outfit.. I had him dolled up in a Yankee T-shirt, shorts & sneakers... Just like his Daddy.. He was so cute...


We had another quake last night... This one was a 5.7, strong enough to wake up Katie and of course it freaked out Jerry... There were little aftershocks all night... Nothing too serious and nothing to worry about.. All part of the fun of living in Southern California...

A pretty uneventful day today.. The roofers are still causing lots of noise and mess, so Joey and I tried to stay cooped up in our quiet house...

I snapped a cute picture of Joey waiting for Katie to get out of school...


And I love his new outfit.. and he did such a good job lining up all his Chuck Trucks this afternoon...


And now it is time for dinner, which Katie has decided is going to be Brinner... So Eggs & Waffles it is... Have a great night!
