Holiday Performance

Katie had a holiday performance.. All the third graders sang us songs and had little dances.. it was a great time.. They did 12 songs, but I don't have time to upload them all.. so here are the 3 best ones...

Katie's Birthday Party

Katie turns 9 this year.. we decided to have her party a few weeks early to hopefully allow more kids to come.. It was a great turnout for her Tangled Pizza Party....

We started the night with a viewing of the new Disney movie "Tangled". The girls were super excited when we got into the theater... There was a special section roped off especially for our party.. They felt like little VIP's... The movie was great, and I think Rachel & I enjoyed it more than the kids though...


After the movie was done we got to go into a cool Party room for pizza, cupcakes and goodie bags... Rachel broke out the facepaint and got the girls all decorative while they played with their goodies and ate their Pizza... Joey especially loved the Pizza part, as he is a little pizza piggie..



After the pizza she opened presents and then it was time for CUPCAKES! They were a big pink and purple hit.. everyone loved them and ate them up... Joey was covered in purple icing by the time he was done..


The night ended with 7 girls on a sugar rush running around and attacking each other with balloons while Joey ran around screaming... It was a great party and Katie had a great time... Can't wait to see what we do for her next year...

I love toe socks but you can never find them anywhere... so how happy was I when I found soft fuzzy Monkey toe socks at the store?? They are so cute and so comfy I have been wearing them all day.. :)
Joey has been harassing us every time he sees our cell phones... he wants to steal them and talk on them, but all he does it push buttons... So I found an old cell phone in a cabinet and gave it to him.. he keeps babbling away like an adorable little man... Most of the time he says he is talking to Dada, but I get a few Grandma, Katie & Tigger too...



It has been a crazy week and I can't believe it is December already!!!

Family Night In

So today was a chilly day today so we decided to stay inside and play some video games.. Our newest favorite is a borrowed one from Aunt Rachel... Lego Rockband... Katie and Jer had a blast rocking out to the music while Joey did his best at banging the drums...




I wanted to get a close up of Joey playing the drums, but any time I put a camera near his face all I get is "cheese" over and over again with a huge smile... It cracks me up.. I have no clue where he learned this since neither Jer nor I taught his this...



He is talking so much more lately, and most people can actually understand what he is saying.. It is so adorable when he talks to us and how excited he gets when we understand him...

When it is time to go get Katie I get one of two reactions.. today I got Mr. Grumpypants... He didn't want to leave, so he decided if he held the door shut, then I couldn't open it and we would have to stay home..


Sorry Buddy.. Momma is stronger than you... Whine and complain all you want.. we are still going...
Of course once we get into the car it is all smiles and happy noises because he realizes we are going on a drive.. crazy little man...

We of course were early so he had plenty of time to run around and enjoy the tables and blacktop... Picking up Katie is probably our favorite time of the day..
